I know exactly how you feel, I was there last year. Nothing worked. The Stellate Ganglion injections only worked for 1-2 days for me. I decided to stop them on my own and then had a steroid rebound reaction (withdrawal) and ended up in the hospital. I had no use of my left arm and guarded it all of the time so that my shoulder was drooping on my left side. After nothing else worked,I decided to try some alternative medicine. I started acupuncture, and taking an herb (from the acupuncturist) called Traumeel. My pain lessened almost immediately. I can't say that it went away totally but it did make a big difference. My pain went from a 9 (10 being the worst pain I've ever had, having a baby natural) to a 3-4. Now, I'm not saying that I don't have bad days, I do. But I can function like a normal human being and have a life now. I don't guard my arm unless I am in a crowd now. My arm is back to a normal color and has filled in. I don't know if it is the herbs or the acupuncture, but I won't stop either one to take the chance. It is expensive, but after feeling the results,I would have gone into debt to do it, it was so worth it!
Please try it! And cheer up, life is much better than the alternative, so enjoy every good thing in your life and try not to focus on the pain. I do. If you need to talk, let me know!

Hi Livingwith,
Do you visit the peer to peer section of this forum? There is a lot of great information here and the info is moderated by doctors so it is somewhat dependable. There are also many web-sites that you can visit that will help with the physical troubles and the mental assault that this monster instills. I find that a practise called desensitization where by you start rubbing the affected area with soft and easy stimuli and gradually increase in coarseness and intensity. This helps to keep the light touch of other items from being so traumatic, thereby making this more tolerable. I will be glad to help you find some if this research if you like. Just respond to this post and I will help you find the means to communicate. You don't have to face the discomfort alone so let me know and we can find you some answers... Be blessed this evening. g0j0g0
