RSDHi, my name is Diana, and I too live with RSD I was in a car accident 2 years ago, and I broke a bone in my foot called the cuboid. Well, I have had 7 nerve blocks, and the last one I had made me feel worse. I am a new grandmother, and I had no idea lifting 11 lbs could be so painful. I now have pain in my lower back, and my foot turns, still yet a lovely blue!! I see a pain mangement doctor every 3 months, not that it helps all that much, but I am also glad to see a forum that understands this...Read the full article
Re: RSDHi Diana,
My name is Darlene; know that you are not alone in this battle. You will find several posts from me. I just joined the forum about 3 weeks ago and it has been a life saver. Just talking with others who know what you are going through really helps. I have RSD from my waist down to my toes. I know what you mean about lifting even 11 pounds. I used to throw 20 and 30 pounds around like it was nothing; now I can hardly lift even a bag of sugar. Even thought my upper body is still ok; not having use of the lower body makes me unstable all over. I wish you the best. Feel free to ask me any questions or if you just want to talk, feel free. Take it easy (I know that is the only way you can take it). dar in pa
Re: RSDThank You Darlene. I just saw the Dr. yesterday, only to hear I have to go back to PT 4X/week, and am now on prednisone, and if that doesn't work, back to something called radio frequency. I guess the same as the nerve blocks, but it now is my lower back that's become affected. I am not a happy camper, but I will do whatever it is to relieve pain. Keep me posted as any advice from others is encourging!!
