The pain is MOVING

I hurt my left elbow at work in 1997. After my second surgery in 1999 my O.T. questioned my doctor if I had R.S.D. it hurt his feelings and he did nothing for MONTHS. I lost my marriage, my child is pulling away from me. The pain and discomfort has now moved to my left shoulder, neck, left breast, and back. Within the last 12 months I notice the pain in my left hip, spasms going down my left leg and extreme pain inmy left foot. No one will listen to me. Lately I am noticing much pain in my right...Read the full article

Kelly,
I will pray for you. I am an RN who was involved in an automobile accident 1/5/06. Initially it was thought that I had a simple whiplash injury. To date I live with constant right sided facial pain and my right eye never stops stinging. I cannont chew, it is difficult to talk and my face is no longer symmetrical. I have had physical therapy, chriopractic care, botox, nerve blocks (both cervical and spinal), and multiple meds. I am seeing a psychiatrist. I am being treated for depression r/t chronic pain and change of lifestyle which includes bankrupcy, the loss of my car, no money to pay bills. My husband and I are managing to work through the hard times with the love and support of my friends, family and my church. I too have felt distanced from my kids. I am 44. My children are 24, 23, 17 and 16. I am expecting my first grandchild in October and I don't even trust my self to pick him up. Also, in May I fell and sprained and bruised my left foot. It still has not healed and now it burns and hurts -sometimes all the way up my leg. Especially if I do not have my Lyrica. My legs burn so bad I cannot sleep if I do not have my meds. I am on so many meds that I don't even drive unless I have to. I am writing to offer my support and ask you if you think this sounds like you. When I asked my primary physician if I could have RSD he called it a garbage can diagnosis. My neurologist said my pain managment physician said the neurologist should. No one will diagnose me. I am going to the University of Maryland Medical Center In October and hope I will get some answeres. Oh and by the way, I forgot to mention that I have gained 50lbs in the last 18 months.
I would appreciate your response,
Praying for you in Maryland,
Sandi
