In Oct 2006 I had knee surgery..the knee felt great for a few weeks after the surgery. Then the pain started again, couldn’t go up any stairs without practically screaming. They drained fluid off the knee did xrays and said everything was good. Several weeks later my right hand swelled up and was so painfull i knew something wasn’t right. HELLO, I HAVE BEEN LIVING WITH RSD STARTING IN 1989 TILL PRESENT. I WENT THROUGHT THE SAME THING AS YOU GOING FROM DR. TO DR. I FINALY FOUND A GREAT DR. THAT SPECIALIST IN RSD. I WENT THROUGHT SO MANY OPERATION, I HURT MY SELF ON THE JOB, SO I DID NOT HAVE THE PROBLEM YOU ARE HAVING TO PAY FOR DR.. GET ON THE INTERNET AN LOOK UP NEUROSURGEON DR. IN YOUR AREA, RESEARCH THERE BACK GROUND AN MAKE SURE THEY KNOW WHAT RSD IS, THERE ARE SO MANY DR. OUT THERE THAT HAS NOT EVER HEARD OF RSD. AN REMEBER LIFE IS WHAT WE MAKE OF IT. I WENT THROUGHT DEPRESSION SO BAD, I DID NOT THANK LIFE WAS WORTH LIVING LIKE THIS, BUT IT IS . THE DR. THAT HELP ME IS NOW TEACHING ON RSD, EVEN THOUGH PAIN IS STILL BAD WITH MEDCATION, LIVE IS A LITTE BETTER, I JUST TAKE EXTRA CARE THAT NO ONE GETS CLOSE TO MY RIGHT SIDE, ARE CAREFUL TO NOT HIT MY ARM. PLEASE GO AND FIND HELP, DON'T GIVE UP THERE ARE GREAT DR. OUT THERE. IDON'T WANT TO DO ANY THING WRONG, SO I DON'T KNOW IF I AM ABLE TO TELL YOU NAME OF DR. i am sorry to hear the crap you are having to go through. there is a website rsdsupport.com there are many people there that have been in your same shoes. get there and see what they have for info. there are many easy tests to tell if you have rsd/crps. something as simple as temperature change between two limbs, get an emg, if the doctor giving the emg is good it will not hurt and they will not stick any needles into your body. i will tell you the same thing as all of the others, DO NOT GIVE UP! that is what they want you to do. fight then fight some more. good luck and keepin touch. thanks, kelly
