Just a suggestion

Post a new topicby Truth Seeker on Wed Jun 17, 2009 1:31 pm

I would like to recommend, that all RSD patients make an appointment with an eye specialist or at least have their eyes checked.
I wished that someone had suggested this to me when I first started having blood circulation problems.
My injury had started in my foot, but even when my toes turned blue, x-rays showed nothing and of course doctors would not listen, consequently my circulation problems got worse and worse, as the RSD was spreading rapidly, moving higher and higher, so did my circulation problems causing absolute horror and terror.
Blood is pumped and pulled, but if there are to many restrictions because of the RSD maze, than blood cannot reach its destinations and the consequences can set off domino effects over which we will have no control.
It was years into my RSD, when an eye exam indicated that there were blood vessel problems.

Thank you meglaser,

This Doctor is correct, I believe this is the first time since I have joined the forum that I have given credit to any Doctor.
Our eyes provide us with much more than just sight, they mirror and reflect what is wrong within.

Once again I would like to suggest to all RSD patients, please have your eyes checked, even if you do not have eye problems.

Hello Truth Seeker,

How are you feeling? I hope your pain levels are low to none.

Thank you for the information concerning the connection between eye problems and RSD.

If I may ask, what parts of your body have been affected by RSD? I was struck by your comment that your RSD is spreading higher and higher.

Take care of yourself, and God bless you!

Hi Bussey,

Thank you for your concern.
The way I feel right now, is the best I have felt in the last thirteen years and all of it without medical help or medication of any kind.
Please do not get me wrong, I still have RSD, but as mentioned in a previous post, I am very fortunate to experience a reversal.
You have also asked where in my body I had\have RSD, well, it had started in my right foot, effected my toes severely, they became hammer toes, but on right foot only, went up my right leg, effected my left side of knee on right leg, than went into my hip, lower abdomen, lower back, down the left leg, I have burn marks on left foot, up both sides of spine, my arms, hands and shoulders, chest, neck, back and top of head, my eyes severely, forehead, left side of face, ears and mouth.
It also effected my bones, organs, every part of my brain, blood, etc.etc. in other words, RSD had all of me.
I have only our Creator to thank that I am still alive.

I will try and explain what a reversal is without getting technical.
Within our system we have a lot of what can be called bands and strips, the best way to think of it would be in terms of flat, but long ribbons. If we were to take such a ribbon and folded it, than began to twist it and twist it and kept on twisting it, than eventually this ribbon would become a coil.
Now lets assume that this is in our body, we feel the folding and twisting and as in my case, it started in my foot, eventually the twisting moves higher and higher, creating massive internal pressure and naturally, the greater and faster the twisting, the shorter these bands\strips will become, setting off all kinds of negative chain reactions.
The human system is based upon timed mechanisms, but the mechanisms have gone out of control
and there is no stopping them.
Any out of control mechanisms will overheat and now it will effect our nerves and their myelin, this fatty mass cannot withstand this kind of heat and now we are dealing with raw nerves, life wires that whip and spin like disconnected hydro cables, electricity will become unbearable..
Reversal means, this destruction is reversing, what twisted up, is coming down.

There are only two explanations for my current good fortune:
a) I learned how to work with rather than against my brain.
b) I reached out to a higher power for guidance and help.

A lot of credit goes to my best friend, whom I have never met, because he lives in India, a man whom I respect and look up to for his wisdom in the field of science and deep understanding of spirituality, a man who stood by me year after year, through the worst times of my life, when all others failed me miserably.

My thoughts are with you.

Hello Truth Seeker ~ You have provided so much valuable information, it is incredible. Of course I know that means you have had to suffer to gain that knowledge but I thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing with all of us and hopefully keep the same thing from happening to us. I am going to schedule an eye exam tomorrow! I will be spending some time tomorrow looking through your previous posts. I have learned a lot from you in just a couple of days like the warning regarding the x-ray's. That was very interesting and it makes sense to me.

Have a good day,
Terri

Dear Truth Seeker,

I just have to check to make sure I read your post right. Please clarify: You have had RSD for 13 years without medication? Or the reversal occurred without medication? I am elated that you have had a reversal
however it came about. That is very positive to know this might happen for any of us. May I ask how severe your RSD was?

Thanks,
Terri

Thank you for the suggestion. I have an eye appointment in the morning and will make sure my doctor doesa very through exam. I will wait to see if he sees anything before I mention to him about the potential circulation problems.

Circulation problems was one of the first serious problems I had, besides the pain. My arm would get so cold it hurt. I did research on a similar condition, Raynaud Syndrome, and then discussed some of the medications used to improve circulation with my primary. He was willing to prescribe it for me. It is called Trental and it improves the viscosity of my blood. I was happy that I got relief with in a few days. I don't think anyone would have offered me anything to take of this problem if I had brought up the medications.
