Re: New to RSD (need to vent)I won't be home today but usually am here most all of the day... doc appointments all day and gas prices as they are I schedule them all in one day. How are you and yours, and have you been succcessful in bringing your pain under control? I hope and pray that it gets easier day by day and the education on this disease helps in bringing some level of relief.
I will keep an eye on my email and if I see your reply, I'll log on right away so we can chat for a min. Does your husband have any questions and is he finding all of the info he needs to help you thru the day? Again let me know if I can help in any way, be blessed, gojogo
Re: New to RSD (need to vent)I have a very important question for my fellow RSDers. Has anyone been told they need to have a complete work up because of thier RSD? I unfortunately was scared tonight because I really donnot like to tell too many people as about what it is I have because people then turn into "doctors" and suggest and comment and scare the you know what out of me. So a friend of the family can by on Friday and made suggestions because he has been through his own health scares and now was putting it on me. I am now confused once again what if it is not this RSD what if the Doctors are wrong. Maybe its because I am so scared that I will believe anything. Should I have a complete blood work up before I have a spinal tap? Please help me I feel lie I am losing my mind again. what should I do and should I be talking to my Internist about this also?
Please help!
Re: New to RSD (need to vent)Hi Leanne,
I'm sorry I missed you Sat afternoon, the w/ends are kinda tough and I usually am limited in the time I have on line. I am not sure what people mean by a "complete work up", but I would listen to my doc and few others. You said it correctly people turn to doctors and if they were educated probably still would not have a clue. This disease doesn't show up by a "blood test" and no matter what, is difficult at best to diagnose. Usually a neurlolgist is the doc that does the diagnosing, and in my area they are required to be the diagnosing physician. I believe I would talk to the doc that told you up front what you were facing. It has been my experience that the general public says "RSD what is that" and are more in the dark about what is ailing you. Don't be rattled by what others are saying, keep your prayers active and keep the peace until you have something to more to worry about. We will keep trying to meet up and until then be blessed and prey for me and I will keep praying for you... gojogo
Re: New to RSD (need to vent)thank you as I said to him, unless you are feeling it you dont know. I will be speaking to my neurologist regarding this just to ease my mind. I will continue to pray for you as you have done for me.
I will definitely catch up with you this week. Leanne
