RSD-Where to go for help

Post a new topicby sin-d on Mon Oct 08, 2007 11:02 pm

I broke my shoulder in 5 places in April, 2007 and was the diagnosed with RSD in May. I have been seeing a doctor since April and have been in occupational and physical therapy since then. My hand will not close. It is still a little swollen and I just learned to write all over again. Has anyone experienced this and has your hand gotten any better. I am starting to get really worried that my hand will not come back.

You need to get to a neurologist. I have had it for years and anytime a limb turns cold/blue or burns like the dickens, its probably RSD. Research it! Go back over your medical history. Where do you live? Can you travel? Check out "RSD" doctors in your area. I mean check them. So many of them say they can help us, and when we get there, they have never seen it. There are a lot of docs out there that want to treat it, they want to "fix" us and so, they are not sharing information within the medical community and again, we suffer.

My advice to you: Get to Dr. Schwartzman - Philadelphia
Get to Space Coast Neurology - Palm Bay Florida

Let me know. Get on the ball now. If it is RSD, it WILL spread. NO MORE SURGERIES - THEY HURT
