Re: sleep apnea and rotary cuffsShianne,
When I was diagnosed with RSD of my right arm, I had x-rays and mri done prior to seeing my ortho. I was told that my rotator cuff showed the normal amount of (slight) fraying you would expect to see in at least half of people my age. My ortho said my frayed rotator cuff "could" have started my RSD, but that the cause of Type I RSD can be something or nothing in particularly. A year and half later (after many stellate ganglion blocks on right side) - my right arm is greatly improved with some relief of syptoms - swelling/red/arm cold from the shoulder down. However my symptoms moved to my left arm, which has no rotator cuff tear (some arthritis). I have had a few more stellate ganglion blocks on my left side now, which have helped as well. Hope this information helps, I know nothing about sleep apnea. Feel better soon.
Re: sleep apnea and rotary cuffsthanks I am baffled I also have severe sinus issues ever since my RSD spread which somehow has something to do with my sleep apnea. I am just falling apart!!! I finally have agood doc though. for a year I have been complaining about my sinuses and he was the first doc to look in my nose and prescribe something to help. He looked in my throat and said I have sleep apnea. Why did none of my other docs look at me?
