Stomache pain HELP!!

Post a new topicby meglaser on Wed Jun 17, 2009 3:35 pm

Hello fellow RSD friends!

I remember seeing a forum regarding RSD attacking the organs! I think this is happinging to me as my stomach is in so much pain and I can not eat or sleep unless I take this new presciption that begins with a ca and lasts for 12 hours, however it makes me sleep. so anyway, I am going to the the GI doctor tomorrow and he wanted to see something in writing regarding this. Does anyone know of any documetation regarding RSD and howit effects our organs? I do know some did write something but I am at a lose and I do not want to be scoped nor hospitalized again(itscoming as I weigh abouy 99 lbs becauses of the daily pain1!) HELP!!

THANKS!!

Hello meglaser,

It's me again, LOL. It has been awhile since you posted this topic. I was wondering how are you feeling now. I know that you don't need me to remind you, that you have been under an extreme amount of stress for quite awhile now. Do you think that some of your stomach pain could be a result of your nerves, and the stress that you've been under for so long? What, if any, are some of your symptoms other than pain?

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Please take care of yourself, and God bless you!

Hi meglaser,

You are definitely not whining! You are dealing with so much at this time! My heart really goes out to you. I did not say I was under stress, I said you were under a great deal of stress! No matter how badly you feel, you muster up the strength to be there for your children. I admire you so much for that. However, it worries me that you do not take care of yourself sometimes. I know that you probably have no desire to see the inside of another hospital for quite some time! But, if you need to be in the hospital in order to get better, I think that is where you should be. The symptoms that you are describing are very troublesome. I don't want you to stroke out! I want your heart and stomach, and everything else to get better!!!!!!

So, please take care of YOU, as well!!!

Keep in touch.

Hi Bussey!

You will never believe this! Even after the tech read my tilt table test and told me that the beats were irregular 3 fast 2 slow 3 fast 2 slow ect. The results were faxed over to the cardio. as being normal. He said my blood pressure was normal. After asking me some questions and with some of my anwsers such as the new nuerologist was going to put me on meds if the cardio did not (I think part of the blood pressure being lowered is the new tranquilizer that he put me on that lasts 12 hours which also lets me sleep most nights) Now last week I slept a total of maybe 10 hours and went to the er for my heart and fell asleep. I was a little nastasic to say the least and they thought it was my meds. so they gave me the shot screwed up my RSD arm (the new one as they ripped off the cast and put an iv in. I remember yelling not this arm. To say the least theyalmost killed me,although they say my meds almost killed me. They kept saying I took too much when here I have been having left over pain meds at the end of the day as I have been just so busy I do not have time to take my afternoon dose, Not that I do not need it I am running to this doctor and that one, or this hospital or that one, you know the drill in the begining. The hospitals have hurt my new injury so bad that now the entire hand is numb when in the begining it was just two fingers. Now it is traveling up to where the iv was placed. If only doctors would listen!!!

I am totally convinced about the methane gas as many of the symtoms are going away with the excepton of my mind. Unfortunately I am not the same person. I said something to my husband and he said that he and my boys have already discussed this and that I am showing signs of dimensiona which is so depressing as I feel as though I was a very bright individual. I have a CPA license which figure I cannot be all that dumb can I? It takes forever to type and i know i mispell some words and have some runons but I hope i am not that bad!

once again thanks for listening and god bless you as you are also always in my prayers!!

Hello meglaser,

What is going on? Why did the technician say that your test results were normal? Hopefully, the cardiologist will be able to sort things out, after reading the results himself. I can't imagine your blood pressure being normal at that time, because I'm sure you were very upset with that technician, to say the least. Wow, they actually gave you an IV where you have RSD? Unbelievable! Are you dropping things a lot? I'm really sorry to hear that the numbness has gotten worse.

Were you taking your medication last week? Why weren't you able to sleep? Did you experience fainting again? Is that why you were at the ER? Which symptoms have gone away?

Meg, I think you'll agree with me, that you are not suffering from dementia. You are still an intelligent person. Don't let anyone convince you that you are not! In many cases, the chronic pain that we suffer from, can affect us in different ways. The chronic pain, in addition to our pain medication, can sometimes cause forgetfulness. You also had the misfortune of being exposed to methane gas!

When do you see the neurologist and the cardiologist?

Stay strong, and take good care of yourself!

As always, I'm praying for you too!

Hi there,
This link may help: http://robertgschwartz.homestead.com/page5.html
It is called RSD with DIstant Effects. The article talks about the issues of the internal organs and related symptoms. I also suffer from some strange "internal" symptoms with my RSD.
I hope you find the answers you need.
Take care,
Carolyn

Hi Paulette!

Everyone keeps messing with my meds. One neuro says it is my heart and the cardio says it is seizures. I read a forum last night where two other people are suffering from the same thing. I also looked it up on that Florida web site and I believe the dizziness a nd fainting is the third stage. I also was sitting on top of a cracked sewer pipe for any where from six months to two and one half years breathing in toxic gases and nobody will touch the case. The one gas will leave perm neuro damage. I have lost some of my short term memory as i repeat myself so much. I decided to go back to school to excercise my brain. MBA for IT (i already am a CPA) and I am going to the County College for free since i am laid off and i am shooting for an associates in computers so it is shell shock when i get it in the mba program. anyway my arms are really hurting and my migrane is getting really bad so i think i am going to sign off. I would like to thank you for your kind words!

Hello Meg,

It was very nice to hear from you! I'm sorry that your doctors are still messing with your medicine. I'm sure it is frustrating, to be given so many different opinions, all of the time. I do have one question though. Did your cardiologist do a battery of tests, to be sure that your heart is functioning properly? I know that it would be comforting to be given a clean bill of health, as it pertains to your heart.

As it pertains to the dizziness and fainting, you may be onto something there. I still wouldn't rule out it being attributed to the exposure to the toxic gases either. It is unfortunate, that no one is willing to help you to pursue your case, relevant to the toxic gas exposure. But, as I've said before, you are a strong woman. I'm glad that you are not letting any of this stop you, from continuing your education! I wish you the very best, as you work towards getting your associate degree and postgraduate degree.

I wanted to tell you about another RSD website. It is excellent! You get to meet many people there, and you are able to communicate with doctors who treat RSD/CRPS.

Keep in touch, and let me know how you're doing in school. Take good care of yourself.

Hi Bussey!

It was great to hear from you! I am still having promlems and the both neuologists feel it is my heart. Remember last week or two weeks ago there was that posting regarding two individuals who were having the same problem Personally I think it is part the stage 3 rsd, the rsd neuoro spec is treating since the cardiogist is doing nothing! I am off my pain medicine and I hurt. I will check that site out.

Enjoy your weekend!
