Hello just be their for your mom when she needs you and really enjoy the moments when she is feeling better spend time together and listen when she talks. always believe her when she says the pain is bad. does she use a parafin bath this is hot wax. It really helps me and makes my hands feel better. I also do a home exercise program I would let you know if you are interested. I have rsd in right hand and arm and it has spread to my left hnad and arm. actually I just typed a message to you and lsot it I have a hard time writing. hope to hear from you soon Miley How old is you mom.

Hello Kim,

I have a few questions. You want to know what you can do to help your mother. Is your mother being seen by a Dr. who treats patients that suffer from RSD? When was your mom diagnosed? What types of treatment has she had, to date? Has she had any physical or occupational therapy? My last question is, where is your mom affected by RSD?

I hope to hear from you soon. Then, perhaps, we can chat a bit more, about what can be done to help your mother.

Your mother is blessed to have you and your siblings, to be there to support her, during this extraordinarily difficult time in her life. I applaud you all!

Take care.

Kim,
Bussey has asked some excellent questions that will help us help you. Being supportive is one of best things you can do for your Mom. Please read and become informed about RSD/CRPS. The treatment of this disease is individually tailored for each patient. What works for me may not help your mother. There are certain classes of medications that help many of us, but not all of us have the same meds. And physical therapy is very helpful, but once again it is tailored to the needs of the indidvual, the degree of their injury and the severity of the RSD.

Please write back soon.
