Post a new topicby lora j on Thu Jul 02, 2009 9:48 pm

I hurt my ankle three months ago I have had three xrays a bone scan and now an emg the neurologist that did my test was pretty sure that i have rsd my leg is red it was very sensitive to anything touching the foot I have also experienced drying out bad between my toes swelling and weird fillings in my foot plus loss of motion. They are saying its also tarsal tunnel syndrome and my question is they want to do a cortisone shot will this make the rsd more pain full .I am just confused they also just informed me in two weeks they are going to terminate my job after 15 yrs. From what you are describing it sounds like RSD (I have had it for @10 yrs & have it in three limbs and my back is messed up - I also think its in my back as I have nerve damage there as well. You should get a good neurologist who specializes in rsd to determine wheter or not it is rsd or the other problem. Have you experience any temperature change just in that limb? (Burning or Ice Cold?)

You should go to the RSD web site and read some of our posts and read the symtoms so that you know exactly what to ask your doctor and neurologist (a good neuro is so important to a have)

Good luck to you!!
