If You Use Soap for your RLS...

Post a new topicby wohorcwo on Tue Aug 26, 2008 10:36 am

I've had great success with using soap to treat my RLS. It sounds hokey, but it works for me and many of my friends! I was given a gift the other day that I thought was so cute I had to share it with other folks that use soap for their RLS...They are called Antsy Pants Sleep Sachets, and are little miniature pants that are filled with soap. They are soft and flexible and much more comfortable to sleep with that an actual bar of soap. I've since given them to my RLS buddies, and my daughter has been gifting them to her runner friends. You can find them every so often on e bay, or at www.getantsypants.com. Hope someone else enjoys them on here as well!

What kind of soap works? My sister swears by it I tried it and nothing. She said certain brands don't work well.

Dove and Dial do not work. They do not contain lye. I don't know what brand is in the Antsy Pants but it works and smells great! I've heard all sort of brands used good results, though....just not the "two D's".

Thanks! I guess I'll try it again! My Doc prescribed requip, I haven't wanted to use meds but some nights are hellish. Iron seems to help but I have to take it a few times a week to see results. If I forget to take it and let it go for a while it's back to square one.
