It's not just my legs please help!!!

Post a new topicby notjustlegs on Sat Jun 06, 2009 11:40 am

I am 35 years old and a mother of 4. I first got RLS when I was pregnant. It's apparently a common problem during pregnancy and is treated with Vit B 12 or magnesium or iron.
I got it with all of my pregnancies and the symptoms stopped after they were born.

That is till now...

I'm not pregnant but I have those creepy sensations when I try to relax. It's normally at night time and it can happen even when I am just sitting at the computer (like now), but the problem is that these sensations are all through my body and not just in my legs anymore.
I am concerned that I have developed tourettes because I need to shoot my arms out, or legs or twitch my face to ease the weird feelings and it only helps for a minute or so and I have to move again.
I don't have verbal tics like swearing or shouting, but I do sigh sometimes and have to clear my throat.
This started a few months ago and has progressively worsened.
I am wondering if I have tourettes or if it is RLS but all over my body. It's exactly the same annoying sensation as I had when I was pregnant.

Does anyone else experience this also?

Thanks in advance.
