I was researching seizures and epilepsy in regards to my own situation, and I came across some information that reminded me of reading your story. My daughter is two days into taking the drug Keppra, which is very new to me. She has begun having seizures that seem to run in our family for no apparent reason.
Anyway, I was on the website for the drug, (Keppra.com) and in the kids topics there is a mention of a surgery that has been performed on over 8,000 epileptic patients in some 50 years. I'm not sure if your son would fit the profile of someone to receive the surgery, but I thought that giving you the info to look into it may lead to a solution for you.
I wish you luck in finding relief for your son. Your family will be in our thoughts and prayers.
