Sudden Seizures at age 48

Post a new topicby livingwith on Wed Apr 23, 2008 4:51 pm

The day 08/29/07 is the day I thought I was having a mild stroke The findings; an aneurysm (2.5mm) and mild seizures. The seizures seem to be advancing and they adjust my meds accordingly. I can’t focus, can’t express words, very confused. I’m right now going thru my second dosage increase, hope it relieves the systems so I can work without feeling like a idot because I can not speak the correct words in a sentence and I loose control of my eyes when looking at paperwork. ...Read the full article

Hi Julie,

I read your story of having sudden seizures at age 48. Must be pretty scary. I have had a seizure disorder for 37 years myself and can understand your concern with speech problems. Especially if your working in a professional arena. I have found it helpful to throughly check out my medications as to side affects for confusion. I am in the middle of having to change medications; confusion and difficulty finding the right words, even through I know what I want to express, is present. I have had to do my homework. I have also found it helpful to find a Doctor who will allow me to express myself completely and give me, not only a reasonable answer but explain the why's and why not's of my questions in a way that I can understand. If you will permit me to say, it is never a good time to give up. I posted my story "Changes...or not" just recently, so feel free to comment back. We can always make changes, but giving up, well....

Hope I hear your comments. Have a good day. RB
