Hi, I am confused about something I hope can help. My son has a seizure disorder, because of his seizures in past, he had a 96 h ambulatory eeg. ped. neurologist said he found re to be "burst of electrical activity" "small seizures". I think y happened while he sleepi ng. is report: EEG DURING WAKEFULNESS IS WELL ORGANIZED SYMMETRIC A 8.5-9HZ MEDIUM VOLTAGE POSTERIOR RHYTHM OCCURRING SYMMETRICALLY. GENERSL BACKGROUND CONTAINS A SMALL AMOUNT OF 8HZ MEDUIM VOLTAGE RHYTHMIC WAVES OVER BOTH HEAD REGIONS SYMMETRICALLY. LOW VOLTAGE FAST ACTIVITY IN 16-20HZ RANGE OCCURS FRONTOCENTRALLY SYMMETRICALLY. BACKGROUND IS INTERRUPTED BY HIGH VOLTAGE IRREGULAR SPIKE WAVE AAT 3.5-3.7HZ occuring 1.5-2 SECONDS ABRUPT ONSET MORE GRADUAL OFFSET RESUMPTION OF UNDERLYING BACKGROUND AFTERWARDS. DURING PERIODS OF EEG SAMPLING IN SPINDLES OCCUR SYMMETRICALLY SYNCHRONOUSLY, CENTRALLY. OCCURS EXAMPLE ON DAY 1 AT TD22:16:43 HS. DROWSINESS POSTERIOR RHYTHM ATTENUATES BACKGROUND CONTAINS INCREASED AMOUNTS OF SLOWER FREQUENCIES. DURING PERIODS OF EEG SAMPLING IN SLEEP, HIGH VOLTAGE VETEX WAVES 13HZ SLEEP SPINDLES OCCUR SYMMETRICALLY SYNCHRONOUSLY, CENTRALLY. When I showed to anor ped. neurologist, he stated it perfectly normal burst of electrical activity not seizures is complete opposite of first ped. neurologist said. doctor is right? se seizures? Please answer both questions so I can get my son proper c he needs. Thank .
