seizures 24 years after a head injury...?

Post a new topicby cera on Fri Dec 05, 2008 5:07 pm

i have began to have seizures...starting in September 2008 and have had at least 4-5 grand Mal and 1-2 petite Mal seizures ..or at least that is how they have been described to me, since i have absolutely no recollection of the events. this is also why i do not know the extent of my problem...have i been having them for longer but have had no witnesses?
i notice no aura, although i sometimes have headaches and have recently noticed a ringing in my ear...the ear on the same side of my head as my reoccurring headaches. other than that i feel fine and cannot link anything to the seizure events.
my mother reminded me of a head injury i received when i was 3 or 4 years old(I'm now 28). i fell out of an automobile (i am not sure if it was moving or not). i fell onto my head and a hemotoma(or a blood blister on my brain as i understand it) formed, it went away without any further difficulties. could an injury that long ago be causing my seizure episodes?
any suggestions are appreciated!
