what kind of seizues

my 67 y/o mother has been suffering from what we as a family thought was dementia/alzhiemers for the past 5 years. she has significant memory lost which seems to be more short term than long, and has gotten worse each year, she hallucinates sometimes more often than others. she refuses to participate in any medical treatment for this because she doesnt think she is "bad enough to need it" and will let us know when she is. she did however agree to an EEG recently and the results are very confusing to us. the neurologist reports that mother does not have dementia or alzhiemers but instead is suffering from undetectable seziures and has started her on antiseziure medication which she is reluctant to take. he states he is not able to find the cause or reason for the seziures but that the EEG reports this activity.......does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions on this? your help would be very much appreciated.
