FrustrationI am at my wits end with my husband. Mind you, he has not seen any doctors yet, but I was wondering if anyone has any input for me. Re: FrustrationI can completely understand your frustration. It sounds like he has something similar to myself. I have something called idiopathic hypersomnolence. It basically means excessive daytime sleepiness from an unknown cause. I think that it would be best to get the advice from a neurologist about his problem. He may have sleep apnea even thought he doesn't open his eyes and act as if he's awake. Any sort of disturbance at night can cause you to lose precious sleep whether or not you are aware of it is not the issue or the problem. You need to get him scheduled for a sleep study. These tests can help your doctor determine the specific reasons for your husbands problem. Hopefully he's not scared of wires! All they do is hook up a bunch of wires to your head with a special kind of glue. The wires can show the techs what stage of sleep he is in at any given time, as well as any movement made, or breathing problems during the night. I was very thankful I received these tests and I had a very positive outcome because of them. I hope that you will consider seeing a specialist! Good luck and make sure you do something for yourself to help put out your frustrations... might I suggest a massage?
