DEEP DEEP SLEEP

Post a new topicby Eminchilli on Mon Mar 17, 2008 2:29 pm

Hi, I have a 19 year old son that sleeps so deeply that it scares me. I am afraid that he could sleep through a fire. From the time that he was old enough to walk and talk I had a problem with him. The older he gets the worse it is. I can wake him up and hold a conversation with him only to find out that he is not really up and that anything that I say or he says he can't remember. Is there something that can be done about this? Is there sometype of testing that can be done? Please, if you have any information let me know. Thanks a lot.

Hi, I came on here to ask just about this. I am a 17 year old girl and I sleep very very hard. Ever since I can remember, I have been this way. It worries me also because I know I would sleep through a fire. When I go to sleep, there is no waking me up. I will sleep through anything, crashing thunder storms, loud noise, alarm clocks, and I cannot be woken up. I acctually stayed the night at a friends house and was raped during sleep. There was no drugs or alcohol involved, just me sleeping, and I slept through it. It really bothers me... When I was little, about 5 or so, my parents would be able to come into my room and pick me up and flop me onto my bed and I never woke up, ever. I do think it is a big problem and I am desperately trying to find an explanation for it. I do understand that you worry for your son, because I worry for myself also. Hopefully an answer is out there.
