Sleep Disorders

hello, I am 17 year old high school student and I'm a bit worried about therapy treatment I am going to go through known as EMDR which is suppose to imitate REM sleep in order to trigger memories but the problem is that, as weird as this may sound, that I DON'T REM sleep - I'm pretty sure about this because I often fall asleep with my contact lens on and I've never had them rolling back into my eyes or anything. So now I'm worried that I have a sleeping disorder and that my EMDR treatment won't be effective since I'm pretty sure I don't REM sleep.

Can anyone help me figure this out?
