My husband had a head injury in 1972, while in the Army. He went all these years with not treatment. His family and friends refered to him as "odd" "strange" "a loner" but no one ever suggested he seek help. He's now 56 years old.

I met him 2 years ago and after the first year convinced him to seek help. Now, after 1 year of testing, we were first told he had problems from the head injury in '72. Recently that diagnosis was changed to Schizoaffective Disorder. He was put on meds. last Feb. and started going to church with me. He seemed happier.

Now he takes his meds. when he feels like it, flies into rages and has been violent on many occasions. He will not attend church.

The online research that I've done indicates that he could have either illness or problem. He refuses to go back for treatment. Any suggestions on how to procede?
