back pain&leg numbness

I have this like knot come up in my lower back could this be the cause of my pain,or vice cersa.My daughter had an accident several months ago, i was the passenger. my back went up against the handle on the door . I have had the back ache since then. The numbness in my right leg began shortly after that and seems only to be getting worse?Please,since I have no inscurance to pay for expensive test,and answers.Could you please give me your personal advice as if you could,sincerly hurting.

Trauma can result in low back pain. You might try to find out where in your community you can obtain help with your medical bills, as I think it would be improtant for you to be seen, especially because the symptoms are getting worse and that you are having numbness in your leg. It is possible there is impingement of one of the nerve roots, although the pain or "knot" you describe may be significant muscular spasm that would respond to anti-inflammatory and muscle relaxer medications and appropriate exercise. Hope you have been able to find some sort of relife by now.My husband and i do understand.We alsolike yourself do not have any medical ins.My husband is in very bad need of a surgeon.
If you have found someone to help you,i would hope you would share it with me.
The only thing left that i know to do is try a DR.at Emory Hospital.Having problems getting to someone.We live in Ga.
