Narrowing of the spine

Post a new topicby Guest on Sat Jul 14, 2001 10:34 am

Good morning from virginia,

MRI shows that i have Narrowing of the spine and referred to a neurology surgeon that i will not see until a few weeks.

The question is what caused this problem; and how serious is it?

How is this problem corrected?

What caused this problem?

Would falling off of a 6 ft ladder on my back have caused this problem?

Thank you and Goodbye; have a great day.

There are different types of "narrowing" that are possible in the spine. Your doctor may be referring to spinal stenosis(narrowing of the spinal canal) which may occur from degenerative changes in teh discs, bones, ligaments, and from congenital factors. Trauma can also contribute to this in some cases.
