Stroke

Today i found my 83 year old mother lying on her bed in her own pee after suffering a stroke during the night. I'm devastated and so aren't my siblings. It gets worse, my dad is in rehab as we speak trying to recover from a stroke. I have been taking my mom to see him since his stroke The doctor really didn't have a good prognosis for my mom, her stroke was very severe ,now she is in the micu unit. My parents have been married for 61 years, my brother had to go to the rehab and tell my father the news, he knew some thing was wrong because my mother and i didn't show up today as we do everyday like clock work. Obviously he didn't take it to well. My mom has had dementia for about ten years now so it was absolutely heart breaking to leave her there in the hospital , because we would always explain to her what was going on and now we had to leave her for the night. I guess i just needed to vent to people that have been in the same situation and ask advice on what to do and how to do it and ask how to keep it together for my parents. God i hope i dont go through this when i'm their age!
