Stroke, fissure cysts, and weird brain attacks

Post a new topicby Dstinson62 on Sun Oct 14, 2007 3:40 pm

I have been looking all over the web for some information that might help me and have found nothing on these subjects. I have seen a few neurologists, with no answers as to what is happening to me. First I am told I had a stroke on the right side of my brain 8mm in size. It didn't seem to affect anything. Then I started having these weird attacks that are progressively getting worse the last few I have lost consciouness. The last one was behind the wheel of my car and the temperary lost of use of my left hand and arm. When I was leaving the hospital I was told I had a fissure cycst growning in the lower left side of the brain next to my brain stem and not to worry about it. These attacks started out presenting as a heart attack symptoms. always on the left side, with pain ,cold sweats and tightness of the chest, And as I have said lost of use of the left hand and arm. Because I am low income I have no real insurance so no one wants to help me so I started trying to find information on the web to see what I can find out. Is there anyone out there who knows anything about what I have been describing?Or becuase I am low income can tell me where i might get some help so I can at least know what to expect? In general can anyone out there help at all? Thanks for your time.

Most hospitals have 'free' care if you qualify, I would check with social services to see what help they can be. Good luck

Hi, why don't you ask the neurologist to perform an eeg on you to rule out any possible seizures you may be having...I'm saying this because I had a brain surgery in 2003 for an aneurysm, and after the surgery I started to suffer from partial complex seizures, and that is the loss of conciousness for a period of a few seconds...This maybe what you are experiencing...however, the heart attack symptoms that you are having are not related to that...It's worth a shot...If you can, go on medicaid, a lot of neurologists accept medicaid because many of their patients are disabled...Hope this helped you some...Good luck to you...
