My name is Leeann and I suffered from a traumatic Head Injury back in 1989 and am still Suffering many symptoms, but my cognitive skills came back enough to go back to work on a Part-time basis after 4 years. Re: “Each Day is a Different Dayâ€Leeann, I just read your post and wanted to share my story. My name is Leigh Ann also, spelled differently but our stories are so similar. I too experienced a traumatic brain injury in 1989, I was 20 years old at the time. I was beaten in the head with a lead pipe by a man hired by my husband. I almost died, and there are times I wish that they had been competent enough to finish the job. I can remember things from my childhood as if they happened yesterday, but there are times that I can't remember why I went to the grocery store. I have heard the same things about being all over the place in a conversation and wondered why other people can't keep up. But you are so right, each day is a different day! I have to force myself out of bed somedays but it is just something that I know I must do. Regardless of other people's reactions to me, I have a purpose here. Thank you for posting today, I am glad that I found a kindred spirit.
