My father TBIHello everyone,
I couldn't ever think such a thing would happen to my retired daddy, in his old age. Instead, I've learned life can reserve really every kind of surprise, in fact this summer, on July 4th when trying to cross the road he was horribly hit by a car going at high speed. Severe TBI, 3 weeks in a coma and now big disabilities. He can speak, eat with help, move his arms and very little the legs, recognize his parents, but has no memory, keeps saying odd things, confabs. He can't walk due to lost of balance. He did some progress since he woke up but still has big disabilities, as said. Last but not least, he's 78.... Does anyone have a similar experience with someone ad this old age ? What I am asking everday to myself is : will he progress or is it logical to say it will stay like this, due to the severe trauma and old age ? Thank you Violet13
