Post very severe traumatic brain injury 7 years ago. After having a peg tube for about a year & pulling it out numerous times, they (doctors) & we (parents) decided to leave it out. Although he has a slow swallow reflex & aspirates, he has not had aspiration pneumonia until this past October & even this is questionable..... The speech pathologist did a swallow test & saw improvement & no aspirating. A Cat scan of his brain showed no difference from 2 years ago. All blood work came back normal. The problem is, he has always enjoyed eating to point where I had just started providing smaller portions when he started (abt. 2 months) to even initiate the swallowing process. It has gotten to a point it's very hard to even get a few bites & a third of fluids down him. He is more lethargic, has more facial & arm tremors & becomes more rigid at times.

Is this due to the brain injury after all this time or could something else be going on?
