Re: Atlas bone in neck causes vertigoI first experienced this BPPV (positional vertigo) years ago and my chiropractor's adjustment of my atlas seemed to always help. sometimes it took more than one adjustment but it would eventually leave, and stay away for a while. for whatever reason (I have moved and changed docs) it is not helping in the same way any longer. The vertigo seems to be stronger and afterwards I almost feel like I have a bit of a hangover. This doc does not want to adjust my neck more and is suggesting I see an ENT. so .. off I go this coming week.
Try the atlas adjustment and see if it helps, even temporarily. Good luck.
