Atlas bone in neck causes vertigo

Post a new topicby livingwith on Wed Sep 03, 2008 1:17 pm

I’ve had chronic vertigo for six months now and have had every test under the sun. Hearing test - fine. VNG cold and warm air test showed no function in the right ear. They have no idea why? Blood tests show one positive marker for auto immune, but my hearing is fine and it doesn’t make sense. Last straw - MRI Finally got my results and the doc says it doesn’t show anything.
I am going crazy with this. Constantly dizzy. Tried Lipoflavanoids, but it didn’t do anything. H...Read the full article

I first experienced this BPPV (positional vertigo) years ago and my chiropractor's adjustment of my atlas seemed to always help. sometimes it took more than one adjustment but it would eventually leave, and stay away for a while. for whatever reason (I have moved and changed docs) it is not helping in the same way any longer. The vertigo seems to be stronger and afterwards I almost feel like I have a bit of a hangover. This doc does not want to adjust my neck more and is suggesting I see an ENT. so .. off I go this coming week.

Try the atlas adjustment and see if it helps, even temporarily. Good luck.
