I have been had this vertigo for about five years now. i usually get it once a year but this year i have had it off and on for 1 month now more on than off.and it gets more intensed each time the doctors have me on meclizine which does not help me and i tell them that and they tell me to keep taking it. i have it now but it just feels like the crystal won’t disolve and i am unblanced on on side the left side and it feels like it never going to go away.

Dear Bad. I read your article and the crystals in the ear don't devolve they have to be put back in the canal in which they belong. This is my story I have read everyone's comments on this vertigo subject. I have also been to the hospital many many time and they do test and yes its frustrating and debilitating . I fired my Dr. after them telling me whatever I had , had to run it's course, well after 5 weeks of falling down and lying down , I called an ear nose and throat specialist. One of the most common forms of vertigo is called BPPV. Benign Parpxysmal Postional Vertigo. I went to this specialist and within 2 days I was totally cured I told him he saved my life I couldn't live the way I had been. Family physcian's know what it is but they do not know how to treat it properly. When I got treated he explained it all to me and went home and looked it up on the MAYOCLINIC.COM website and it was exactly what he said and did to treat me. I am now suffering with it really bad again but I have an appointment with him in 4 days thank god. I have small bouts but I know what I can and cannot do during every day life that will go on forever, but when it comes on severely its devastating and I go back to the same Doctor. I have only had it since Dec.15, and not quite as severe as before. I really hope I have helped because I was on the verge of suicide after going back and forth to the hosp. and I knew darn well something was wrong.
