central vertigoI woke up with vertigo, (had to crawl to the bathroom) 9 years ago and went through the usual work-up with an ENT, and I had several tentative diagnosis; labrythnitis, benign vertigo etc. The ear specialists ended up with the dx of “central” vertigo, and referred me to neuro-opthalmogy. The brain tests, evoked potentials, etc. confirmed the diagnosis, (U-waves in particular).
