long time suffererI had my first episode when I was 40. That was a long time ago. When I woke up extremely dizzy and couldn’t raise my head even an inch without throwing up my husband took me to the emergency room (I threw up all the way from the car to inside).
They admitted me to the hospital and ran tests and after eliminating all the possibilities they could think of told me I had Meniere’s disease. Since then I’ve had several more episodes like the first one. After about the third one...Read the full article
Re: long time suffererI am sorry you have had to go through this, but your story is helping me realize I'm not alone. I have had four episodes and they have been horrible. I start by extreme vomiting that won't quit without an IV medication, I am helpless and dead weight, unable to lift my arms and legs. The world is spinning and I am unable to form words for a few minutes. Because there was slight jerking of my limbs, the doctors had me undergo an extended EEG which showed nothing. By my own research, I have concluded that I have severe vertigo. I wish you the best.
