I first noticed the symptoms of spinning, unsteadiness, and the feeling that i would literally “fall off of the earth” a number of years ago.
Driving over bridges and large left-hand turns on interstate highways were a particular problem.
I also came to notice that, while at work, I would feel as though I would fall off of my chair at my desk. Even standing by a filing cabinet I would find myself holding on to try to relieve the feeling of falling.
