Can wet hair/cold bring on vertigo ?

Post a new topicby feargal on Wed Oct 29, 2008 8:59 am

Hi Fellow Hitchcock Fans,

I first got an attack of vertigo about 5 years ago - 1'm 39 now, male, and haven't really suffered from it since then. Then last night, I made the mistake of going to bed with damp hair on a sub zero night in Ireland. I awoke at about 5am with dreadful spinning and nausea. I've now had it all day - nearly collapsing several times. My question is whether a cold/wet head can bring on the attacks ? I know that "going to bed with wet hair" warnings are now viewed as old wives' tales, but there is no doubt in my mind that the concidence is significant. I havent gone to bed like that in a long long time especially on a cold night.

Anyone else experience sometihng similar ?
