Confused about Vertigo

Post a new topicby niraj1971 on Tue Sep 22, 2009 9:50 am

Dear all

I am a 38 year old man working in shift duties (morning / evening / night).
I am getting the attacks of vertigo (spinning) for quite a some time. Even when I am doing nothing - just sitting or standing - I suddenly feel my head/surrounding spinning. I need to hold something to prevent me from falling down. Infact, I have fell down 2-3 times in past. This condition continues hardly for 12-15 seconds. then I feel normal again.
My initial attacks were about 15-16 years ago. But that were occasional (2-3 per year). I considered them due to lack of rest or tiredness. After 3-4 years it stopped.
But since almost last 1 and 1/2 yrs, the attacks have again started with the increased frequency . 1-2 times per month. So I consulted the doctor. As per their advise, I got all the reports checked one by one.
My BP, sugar, cholestarol are normal.
The audiometry test done by 2 different ENTs are normal.
The EEG test performed by the neurologist is normal.
Then I consulted an Aurvedic doctor. As per him, this problem is due to gas trouble and indigestion.
I had some relief while his medications were continue.
But since last month I am daily having one attack. And I can not understand what can really be wrong with my system ?
All the views and suggestions are welcome.
