epley maneuver

Post a new topicby tildenjane on Fri Oct 10, 2008 12:11 pm

I don't know who this Epley person is who figured out maneuvers that would help such suffering, but after my family doc 'fixed' my vertigo with this series of maneuvers (positional vertigo) I owe both a debt of gratitude and wonder how many other folks are suffering needlessly when repositioning of the inner ear 'stuff' can help.

The Epley maneuver worked for me when I had BPPV but I now have a vertigo that isn't considered positional. The Epley maneuver seems to only work if in fact it is BPPV. And yes it is wonderful to feel relief. I felt the same way you do in regards to the Epley. It gave me extreme happiness until the vertigo changed to a different form. If in fact you (anyone) suffers from BPPV try the epley maneuer. You can even do it at home. It really works.

I am very thankful for the Epley manuever, too! Here is a link to the doctor who discovered them.
