Little bit frustrated with this forum. Doesn't seem anyone has any interest in helping, or maybe no one has an answer.

I agree. I don't see a lot of helping going on here at all. I did post to your other one about a therapy I am starting. I see a lot of people read our posts but no one ever replys. Wonder why this forum is even here.

Sorry but i didn't like your comment nobody here can help it is you who can help yourself the most, but we can share the experiences we've had and try to support each other through the time like this when ever you are frustrated.Firstly if I knew what was the best for me i would've help myself and I would have help you.We are not medically trained to give each other advice on medication or therapy, we may suffer from the same thing but everyone is different and what is good for you may not be suitable for me.But when you share the experience you can speak to your doctor about what other people were offered in your situation.

Thank you Nancy for an answer, I never knew the therapy existed. I will definitely get it started right away. Sorry if I offended you julijana. I can relate to all of the posts as I have had severe vertigo for over 10 years. What I was hoping for was hearing from people who are actually taking action and who maybe have found some relief. People get tired of the moaning and groaning as you well know. So to find a forum dealing with our symptoms brought hope. Hope of maybe something that someone has tired that helped. Finally a reply with some information.

Sorry to here that you have had vertigo for 10 yrs that must be frustrated,do you know what is the cause of your vertigo and how did it start?I am doing some exercises at home my ENT doctor has given it to me,you can try if you want but you will need help from another person as well.
For the eyes in a standing position eyes open
1.head still, move eyes up and down
2.head still, move eyes right and left
3.focus on your index finger as your bring it from arm's length up to your nose and then out again
For the head in standing position
1.move your head as far forwards and as far back as you can, five times with eyes open and five times with eyes closed
2.turn your head as far to the left and as far to the right as you can 5times with open eyes and 5 times with closed eyes
Than you always do this with someone else in present
Sit down, then stand up and turn round on the spot, repeat the same but in the different direction.
Without sitting down, turn on the spot first one way then the other way
It is helping me a bit i hope it is going to help you as well.

Those exercises might help a little. I was going to ask you if they ever ran tests and such on you? I get the results from my ENG on Monday. Hoping it showed at least SOMETHING ya know?

Good luck with your results on Monday I hope all goes well.On me they never run any tests I have complaint and complaint to so many GP's and my own doctor thinks it is something like labyrinitis which is the middle ear but he can't give me any medication for it.I was told by my specialist it is up to me to get better to push myself further because i am young and that my body will fight with anything that comes along. If i could travel i would have gone to another country to ask for help because i ma not getting anywhere over here incompetent doctors and everyone who works for NHS.See i could go to see a private doctor but i will loose my NHS status for future.
I went by plane to Ireland in September and my symptoms got worse since than,I had pressure on top of my head and the pressure build up into my ear even more.I can't get even my results from the neurologist because they don't have enough people to answer the phone so left so many messages on their answere mashine.I just gave up i am doing my exercisesso i don't get the attacks as often as i used to because now i can drive only short distatnces.I am depressed but i am determine to get better because this is not the life i want to live i want more.

I am on this web site because i've seen people are suffering from the same thing and that is why i joined, and i am here to hear from others people experiences snd support each other.I had severe vertigo that i was spending weeks in bed,not able to go to the toilet holding myself on the door and walls, also i travelled by plane and that made even worse, pressure on top of my head i was given the medication at the time but they made worse for my palpitations. All this started since i was diagnosed with an over active thyroid gland. And my GP is not helping me at all. What abaout yourself?Do you have severe vertigo as well?

I believe my GP is truly tired of seeing me. I have been sent to ENT specialist who worked with me for over a year and thinks possibly Meniere's. Mri clear. Thyroid fine. Tried diruetics. Use bonamine or gravel. Put on Serc. Nothing helping. Waiting for a neurologist appointment. I am trying all the the exercises recommended by several of you, thank you. Symptom's started after a head injury 13 years ago. Ringing in the ears, shakes, sweats, vertigo, fatigue and nausea. Feels like my brain is shifting in my skull. Rarely headaches. Blurred vision when attacks occur. You would think that it being 2008 there would be a cure for us. It's rather ironic that we wish for them to find something in our tests, but we do. If we can name it then there is that hope that there will be a cure and were not crazy. Has anyone tired acupuncture?
