Myasthenia Gravis

My sister went into the ICU on July 31 and had to be placed on a ventilator. They have done 5 plasmapheresis treatments and started her on prednisone and mestinon. She has regained some of her strength, however, she now has a trach tube and is still receiving oxygen. They are moving her to a Long Term Acute Care facility. We hope this is a step in the right direction for her getting weaned off of the trach and being able to function. Has anyone else had these same types of circumstances?
