RSD and WeatherIn my first year with RSD I had told my Doctor that my symptoms and sensations are worse on sunny days compared to rainy days, but he quickly remarked that this is opposite to what has been taught in University.
Here I was, living and experiencing the changes, but his comment was based upon class room theory, which is fine, but not necessarily my reality. Thirteen years later, sunny days still are more difficult to deal with.

Re: RSD and WeatherHi, my experience is the SUNNY DAYS are tough on me too; it's more heat and my arms are already on fire. I'm exposing them to MORE heat so that would only make sense for me. Pool time...very painful evening for me!
You aren't alone ;)
Re: RSD and WeatherHi I have weather changes too. When it's cold the burning is more intence. In the heat the swelling is much worse along with the aching and throbing. I really couldn't tell ya whats worse but it dose change. My dr says it's a strange disease and you can't really tell what's going to happen.
Re: RSD and WeatherThis is a very interesting conversation. I read about 15% of RSD sufferers are heat intolerant and the other 85% can't tolerate the cold. I have noticed that the humidity level plays a big role. I was in dry, moderate temperatures earlier this summer on a trip. Once the humidity started to rise, I saw a corresponding rise in my pain level.
Living in the south, tropical storms are extremely painful. The drop in the barometric pressure, especially a rapid one makes me ache. Reta
Re: RSD and WeatherThere isn't even a climate you could move to then. That just sucks. I am so very sorry.
I have been reading a lot of posts this morning as I was woken up very early with pain. Right now my heart is just breaking for you and so many others, everyone with RSD. My symptoms seem minuscule....I need to take a break I am in tears and I pray that all have as good a day today as possible. God bless, Terri
Re: RSD and WeatherThank you, I hope you are feeling better. I dont no where I'm going to live I have to stay in Ohio for now with hearings. After this is all straightened out I'm kinda thinking about Tenn. or somewhere in the middle dont no. I'll have to find somewhere with a good Dr. For now stuck hear. Thanks again take care, Josh
