Get a lawyer if you don't already have one. It sounds like this dotor is working for the insurence company and not you. I would be lost without my lawyer and I would have lost everything too. You should be able to go to any doctor you want to and they have to pay for it.

Worker's comp had refused to pay my lost wages when their doctor said I could not work so I got a lawyer. Now they pay some not all of my lost wages but do not pay my medical bills. So it is an ongoing issue but they have to pay the attorney fees whenever we go to court. If you got hurt at work and because of it you got RSD then I don't see how they can deny you. They probably think you wil just give up. I know a lot of people who have and they are suffering for it. They get fired from jobs because they cannot keep up because they are hurt. It took me all day today to make a poster for a relative. All it says is congratulations jennifer. Now what job do you think I can do? I am still in my PJs but they still say they think I can work. They are going to do whatever they can to get out of paying. That is just the way they are. Hopefully you have a good lawyer.

Hello,

I am so sorry that you are going through all of this! The Dr. that spent 15 minutes with you, knows absolutely nothing about RSD! I'm sure you already knew that. After having gone from doctor to doctor for three years, and after enduring test after test, surely, there is a massive paper trail that will confirm your diagnosis of RSD! Was the workman's comp Dr. ever allowed to review your paperwork from other doctors? I do know that some doctors are very arrogant, and will sometimes refuse to review the comments of other doctors.

I have never gone through this process before, so please excuse any nonsensible questions. If you are no longer eligible to receive workman's comp, can you immediately apply for unemployment compensation? Will you be applying for Social Security disability in the near future? Surely, this 15 minute visit to the workman's comp Dr., will not negate all that you've gone through over the last three years!

I will keep this short. When you feel up to it, please respond.

Take care.

Just one more thing.

By no means, was I suggesting that you just simply throw your hands up in surrender! I hope that you'll find an excellent disability lawyer, who will go to battle with you! Shianne is correct. Your employer probably thinks by now, you're tired of fighting! Please don't give up! Hang in there. I wish only the best for you and your children.

As always, you're in my thoughts and prayers.

I know exactly how you feel. I had a severed and crushed peroneal nerve in my leg due to a work injury 9 yrs ago. The worker's comp insurance company procrastinated on my surgery and I lost. I was diagnosed with RSD/CRPS early on but was sent to dr after dr trying to dispute it. Finally a nerve conduction test was performed. Lo and behold it showed severe nerve damage confirming what the surgeon saw when he performed surgery.
I now have drop foot, torn ACL in the knee and the pain has spread to the sciatic nerve and into my upper body.
I was finally sent to a reputable Pain Management Center and the drs are trying to get me 2-10% pain free. Yes, you read it correctly. 2-10%. I have CRPS/RSD stage 1 & 2. I live in constant pain. Cramps, weakness, incapacitating pain, swelling, depression etc.
Worker's Comp insurance paid for 19 drs in attempt to dispute the problem which only made me worse over time because of their medical negligence. My new dr has slammed them and demanded a commitment of treatment. They had no choice.
Try to find a reputable pain management center and get a consultation. It's worth the visit just knowing someone understands the pain and depression.

Take care and I wish you the best of luck.

i did go to a pain clinic and they told me that i couldnt work , so workmans comp sent me to a dr 9 hours away for a 20min appt and he told them that i could go to work and didnt have rsd. ive been to many dr and they said i had it, ive been poked and prunged in places where i didnt think you couldnt get shots.. i feel like my body is in a vice grap and someone keeps tighting it and my bones feel like their going to crash at any minute.. they told me to go back to work and my boss said i cant cause my treating dr didnt give me the ok just the workmanscomp dr did and that dont mean anything to the company. i just dont know where that leaves me, i sit in this house looking at the walls, wondering what am going to do.. my kids are gone to their dad's and now iam just waiting on a phone call from my cousin cause my aunt is on life support.. boy when it rains on me it rains.. lol.. am hoping there's light at the end of the tunnel, to be honest dont know how much more i can take..well i better get going before i start crying. goodnite and god bless everyone..

you need to see a lawyer as soon as possible, hope this will help.

Hello lostandconfused,

I am so sorry that you're still having so much trouble with the company that you work for, as well as the situation that the workman's comp Dr. has placed you in! I may have asked this question before, but I think it's worth repeating. During the years that you have gone back and forth to so many doctors, do you still have the paperwork from those doctors that will confirm that you are indeed suffering from RSD? I would assume by now, that there is a massive paper trail, that would prove to the powers that be, that you are suffering from RSD. It does not seem fathomable that a twenty minute visit to a Dr. who does not specialize in treating RSD, could possibly reverse the findings of the other doctors that you have been seeing for the last several years, who actually have experience treating RSD patients.

Do you have any idea at this time, what your next move is or should be? Do you have a disability lawyer now?

I hope to hear from you soon. Take care of yourself.
