Tai Chi-has anyone tried it?

Post a new topicby reruho on Tue Jun 23, 2009 11:18 pm

6 months ago I started studying Tai Chi to replace the PT which my PM no longer recommends. I study with the Taoist Society and the whole focus of the study of Tai Chi is for the improvement of your health. At 52, I am one of the youngest people in the class. I will tell you it has been one of the best things I have done for myself. I cleared it with my PM first before signing up for the class.

Tai Chi is slow controlled movement. It is considered a soft martial arts. There is no physical contact. It will help improve your range of motion and your balance. Besides the gentle motion and stretching, there is a component of stress reduction. I can go to class stressed to the max and leave the class relaxed and feeling so much better. I always sleep better on Tai Chi nights.

Hi Reta ~ That is good to know. I am going to check that out. I need something to get me out of the house.
Thanks for the suggestion!
